TT was so confused; he didn’t know what to do because now two women who are in high-risk situations are unconscious right in front of him with one having the possibility of dying. He had to think fast.
He ran outside calling for help. Then went inside and started pumping Lerato’s chest, she still didn’t breathe. He then did mouth to mouth and she immediately coughed, he went on to check Tshepi and by this time her trouser was soaked with blood.
TT found himself screaming “No! No! Tshepi you can’t lose the baby… Somebody, please help!!!!”
He realised he might not get help so he carried Tshepi back to the car and as he went back for Lerato; he found students trying to make her sit up.
The students immediately pointed fingers at him for the whole incident and held him captive thinking he will run away and they then called the police. He kept telling them that Tshepi is in danger and Lerato also needs medical help as she didn’t even have the strength to sit up.
They didn’t barge he was about to be beaten up when the police arrived with an ambulance; the first thing he said was “Tshepi is in the car and she’s bleeding and she is pregnant!!!! Please go help her please!!!” The paramedics rushed to the car and found Tshepi unconscious and bleeding pretty bad. They took her in the ambulance together with Lerato and were rushed the hospital with her being a high-risk patient with the possibility of her or the babies not making it.
On the other hand, TT was arrested for the harm done to the two ladies. He didn’t even deny anything they claimed he did, he was deeply worried about the baby since he thought it was just one baby not knowing it’s triplets. He kept asking if they are okay or not? ; and if he could see them just to make sure they are okay. It seems he changed his behaviour and his thinking about gender roles. He seemed to care more about Tshepi and his baby.
In the hospital Lerato got fully revived and she was a bit confused; at where she was. She only remembers hanging herself and everything went blank. Tshepi was in ICU and the doctors were fighting to save both the mother and babies, but the chances were slim because she fell very hard and she was already and a high-risk patient.
TT was being questioned, he tried explaining what had transpired but they didn’t believe him. The police came up with their theory since TT was being investigated for his abusive behaviour towards Tshepi, which resulted in her being admitted in a hospital. He was to be detained until the ladies can speak for themselves.
Will Tshepi survive with her babies or we will talk of a different story?
To be continued…
